TURLOCK - Country crooner Clint Black will be "Killin’ Time" this summer at the 2011 Stanislaus County Fair. The Grammy nominated singer-songwriter will perform on Friday, July 15, 2011, at the Stanislaus County Fair. He will appear on the Budweiser Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. The concert is hosted by KAT COUNTRY 103.3 and is free with the price of Fair admission.

"Clint Black is an impressive country music classic," said Chris Borovansky, chief executive officer for the Stanislaus County Fair. "We anticipate that his fans will come from far and near to hear Clint’s pure and amazing voice live in concert."

Black has long been celebrated as one of country music’s brightest stars. Black is multi-talented as singer-songwriter, musician and actor. The country music scene hasn’t been the same since the 1989 debut of his critically acclaimed fan favorite, Triple Platinum "Killin’ Time." His most recent release, "A Better Life" speaks to today’s recession-battled crowd. Black has had cameos and roles in films such as 1994’s Maverick, Going Home, and Flicka 2. His charity efforts have touched many through foundations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and International Rett Syndrome Foundation. The Country Music Association (CMA) Award and American Music Award (AMA) winner has released numerous hits, such as “A Better Man,” “When I Said I Do,” “Nothin’ But The Taillights,” “Like The Rain” and “Put Yourself In My Shoes.”

The 2011 Stanislaus County Fair opens for its 100th anniversary celebration Friday, July 15 for a 10-day run. Fair guests can count on an award-winning experience that has been 100 years in the making. Discounted Fair admission tickets and unlimited ride wristbands will be on sale Saturday, April 30, 2011.
