Central Valley Job Fair

On Wednesday, September 25, 2013, U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) will hold a Central Valley Job Fair in conjunction with the Stanislaus Economic Development and Workforce Alliance. The job fair will take place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Modesto Centre Plaza.

“The Central Valley’s unemployment rate decreased in August, which is great news,” said Rep. Denham. “However, there are still too many without a job who want to work. Assisting individuals in finding work is a primary goal of mine. That includes passing job creating legislation and holding events such as this fair to connect job seekers with employers who currently have available positions.”

The event will feature over 40 Central Valley employers seeking new hires in a wide range of fields.

Employers attending include Walmart, Lowe’s, Blue Diamond, Dole, Target, City of Modesto, G3 Enterprises, Duarte Nursery, California Natural Products, G3 and more.

Market Tavern at Lincoln Center in Stockton and Mike’s Grillhouse in Modesto plan openings in the next several months. They will join the Texas Roadhouse and In N Out in Modesto and French 25 and The Habit in Stockton as eateries to open this year.
