XO Music Festival in Northern California announces Superstar lineup for their premier music, art, food and fun festival.

Ludacris, T.I ., Fabolous, MAGIC!, Rev Run of RUN DMC and the Diplomats are among the artists set to perform at the inaugural XO Music Festival, which will take place July 13-15, 2018, at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds in Antioch, California.

Dodging raindrops, supporters enjoy Memorial Hospital Foundation’s annual golf fundraiser

MODESTO, Calif. – Over 100 teams braved the elements at Modesto’s Del Rio Golf and Country Club on Monday, April 16th to assist in the fundraising efforts for Memorial Medical Center’s support services programs.

The 16th Annual Memorial Hospital Foundation Golf Classic is a popular event in the Modesto community. Business leaders and community members mark their calendars each April to enjoy a day of golf, camaraderie, dining and auction activities, all in support of community health care.

This year’s funds raised will help Memorial Medical Center’s support services programs, including the following:

Calling kids & canines…Midtown Association to present Halloween Festival & Pooch Parade

Plans are afoot for the Midtown Association (MA) to present the crowd-favorite Midtown Halloween Festival & Pooch Parade on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Marshall Park (915 27th Street). Sponsored by the Sutter District – with restaurants that include BarWest, Biba, Blue Cue, Café Bernardo, Centro Cocina Mexicana, Harlow’s, Monkey Bar, INK Eats & Drinks, Paragary’s Midtown & Red Rabbit Kitchen & Bar – the canine-friendly event is highlighted by the much-anticipated “pooch parade” scheduled to take place at 2:30 p.m. that day. Four-legged friends will strut by while competing in an entertaining costume contest that will include playful prizes for the winning pooches.

The Modesto Area Music Awards celebrates performers from around the greater Modesto Area. Over the last 18 Years, we have seen some Winners go on to National and International Fame; Flying Blind, Grandaddy, Moonshine Bandits, DEV, UVR, and Megan Slankard have all found success beyond the 209.

This year the MAMAs celebrate 18 years and I am sure that Murphy and Ricci had no idea that they would still be hosting the Show all these years later. It is a testament to how much talent we have in the area.We can only hope that many of this year's class are recognized beyond just receiving the stainless steel Carhop trophy. The talent is there as well as the drive for many of the nominees. The Event is Free but is invite only.

BofA California president and ‘classic music’s No. 1 maverick’ also to speak at forum hosted by University of the Pacific

Facebook chief operating officer and best-selling author Sheryl Sandberg will be the featured speaker when University of the Pacific hosts the next Advancing Women’s Leadership forum Sept. 12 at the Alex G. Spanos Center on the Stockton campus.

Bank of America California President Janet Lamkin will also speak during the third Advancing Women's Leadership forum.

Jade Simmons, “classic music’s No. 1 maverick," will also be featured during the Sept. 12 forum.

The spirit of “American Graffiti” endures today on 10th & 11th Streets in Downtown Modesto on the Historic Cruise Route, where the people of the true cruising route inspired George Lucas’ film. People across America and all over the world are invited to have a rockin’ good time as the “Walk of Fame” Class of ’17 is unveiled on the Modesto Historic Graffiti Cruise Route on Wednesday, June 7, on 10th Street between J and K Streets in conjunction with the Mid-Valley Chevy Club’s Park ‘n Shine that hosts approximately 300 classic cars and hot rods.

This is a special day here in Modesto USA!
This year is the 40th Anniversary of the release of the original Star Wars. May 25, 1977, was the day that changed modern film forever. From the opening theme and the rolling script, the world had a new lexicon of interstellar characters, starships and even speed measurements.
