OAKDALE - Calling all chocolate lovers! The Oakdale Chocolate Festival kicks off Saturday, May 21 through Sunday, May 22 in downtown Oakdale. The main activities are located at the junction of Highway 120 and 108 at Wood Park and surrounding area. This is the setting for music, a variety of entertainment and of course, chocolate!

Stanislaus County Fair looking for stage acts

Turlock, CA (May 18, 2011) – The Stanislaus County Fair is looking for local talent to fill its 2011 Community Stage lineup.      

The Stanislaus County Fair is seeking local entertainment to perform on the Health Plan of San Joaquin Centennial Stage during this year’s Fair, July 15 – 24, 2011. This is the former community stage which will now be located next to the Fair’s historical arch gate.

The Fair is considering gymnastics groups, martial arts demonstrations, dance and musical performances from local clubs and groups. Interested parties can contact Carole Swan at cswan@stancofair.com or by phone at (209) 668-1333 ext.

TURLOCK – It’s finally here! Stanislaus County Fair tickets go on sale this Saturday, April 30 at 10 a.m.

Tickets going on sale for the 2011 Stanislaus County Fair include FoodMaxx Arena motorsport tickets, discount Fair admission tickets, discount unlimited ride wristbands, season passes and the limited-time only 100 Year Fair Pass.

There are several easy ways to purchase your tickets.

TURLOCK - Your chance to showcase your masterpieces at the 100th anniversary of the county’s largest community event is here. Fair officials invite everyone in the community to participate by showing off their talents and hobbies at the 2011 Stanislaus County Fair July 15 - 24.

This year’s fair celebrates 100 years of Stanislaus County Fair fun and is the focus for the 2011 exhibit categories, special contests and other events. Everyone can find a spot to showcase their talent(s) with many categories to choose from. Exhibitors can decorate, sew, bake, weave, preserve, knit, can, garden or plant, among other things, to enter the competition. Entering the county’s largest talent exhibition is easy and can be done from any computer.

For online entries, please visit www.stancofair.com. Entries can also be done by mail, simply download entry forms from the Fair’s website.
