Keyes Library invites story-lovers of all ages to revel in reading and rhyme with a Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration on Thursday, March 12 at 3 p.m. Participants can make a “Cat in the Hat” mask and a Dr. Seuss pop-up toy! Children can also play Find the Hat to receive a prize.  Birthday cake, light refreshments, and prize drawings will also be available throughout the afternoon.

Spring into fun at Micke Grove Zoo Camp!

Spring into fun at Micke Grove Zoo Camp!

San Joaquin County, CA – This March, Micke Grove Zoo is offering its first public Spring Zoo Camp experience for children ages 5 through 10. Campers will spring into fun as we use our imaginations and the plants and animals living in Micke Grove Zoo and Park to explore the different places animals call “home.” Whether it is a frosty mountain peak or the humid heat of a rainforest jungle, we’ll be questing after some of the most unique animal habitats in the world.

Campers will venture across the oak woodlands in search of squirrels, galls and forest surprises; dive into the world of inland water bodies springing to life with microscopic creatures; climb the ladder of the rainforest canopies; safari across the sands in search of life in the desert; and explore the mysteries of the deep dark ocean. No other local adventure could ever compare!
