2014 Weekly Challenge #43: A Month of Being THANKFUL

2014 Weekly Challenge #43: A Month of Being THANKFUL

2014 Weekly Challenge #43: A month of being THANKFUL

In this month of Thanksgiving, we at Mama Bootcamp are all focusing on what we are thankful for.

We are thankful for our health, our families, and for all the beauty in our lives.  And of course we are especially thankful to have our MOJO, and to be able to share it with each and every one of our Mamas.  In short, we are thankful for YOU!

This week, your challenge is to focus on your attitude of gratitude.   What are YOU thankful for?  Post it on Facebook to share it with the other Mamas and with your proud and THANKFUL coaches.

Alpha Gamma Sigma & City of Hope host the 2nd Annual Delta College Be the Match donor registry drive

Alpha Gamma Sigma & City of Hope will host the 2nd Annual Delta College Be the Match donor registry drive, Thur, Oct 23, 10am-2pm in Danner Hall.

Be the Match registers potential blood marrow donors and matches them with critically ill blood cancer patients. Potential donors complete a short questionnaire, then perform their own cheek swab. City of Hope takes care of the rest.

Last year, Delta’s drive was a great success. 147 students registered with Be the Match. Statewide, over 1350 students registered at Alpha Gamma Sigma (California Community College Scholastic Honor Society) sponsored events.

Micke Grove Zoo growing its conservation efforts with sustainable edible garden

San Joaquin County, CA – As part of its efforts to conserve and protect earth’s resources, Micke Grove Zoo follows the action program of “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.” The Zoo’s Animal Care Specialists created a soil bed that is used to compost kitchen waste and two separate beds for growing produce. The kitchen waste includes leftover or unusable portions of animal diets created in the animal kitchen. The animal kitchen is where diets are prepared for all of the captive wildlife housed at the Micke Grove Zoo.
