Join the Keyes Library during the month of February for several family-friendly events for individuals of all ages!

All ages are invited to participate in the Chinese New Year Trivia Game from Feb. 3 through Feb. 6! Participants that complete this short quiz will receive a fortune cookie and learn interesting facts about the Year of the Horse.

 Adults can participate in the What’s Cooking?: Recipe Exchange from Feb. 3 through Feb. 27. Participants can come by the library for cooking ideas and pick up the recipes of the month! While at the library, turn in your favorite recipe to be displayed during the month of March.

All ages are also welcome to participate in the Love Bites Valentine’s Candy Count from Feb. 3 through Feb 27.  Participants can guess the number of candies in the jar. The closest guess will win the entire jar of candy.

Children will have the opportunity to make firecracker decorations in honor of Chinese New Year during the Chinese Firecracker Craft on Monday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m.

Children can also make adorable mice using Hershey Kisses during the Valentine Mice Craft on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 1 p.m.

Finally, participants can celebrate children’s author Mo Willems during the program, The Pigeon Makes a Craft, on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to make various pigeon crafts as well as listen to Mo Willems stories. Special Mo Willems stories will be read at 2 and 2:30 p.m.
