Oakdale Chocolate Festival kicks off Saturday

OAKDALE - Calling all chocolate lovers! The Oakdale Chocolate Festival kicks off Saturday, May 21 through Sunday, May 22 in downtown Oakdale. The main activities are located at the junction of Highway 120 and 108 at Wood Park and surrounding area. This is the setting for music, a variety of entertainment and of course, chocolate!

Stroll though the unique arts & crafts booths and wide variety of commercial vendors. Plus, there's a variety of food to satisfy every pallet. The food court offers a wide variety of foods such as, giant onion rings, Lockeford Sausage, funnel cakes, smoothies, Chinese and the all American favorite hot dogs.

Then join all the chocoholics for a grand tour of Chocolate Avenue where you will find various chocolate vendors such as Granny Jan's and Grampa's Fudge, Sconza Candy Company, chocolate fudges, truffles, chocolate ice cream, and chocolate cheese cake.

Take a moment, relax, and watch our celebrity and western chefs perform their wonders on the cooking stage. Hold your hats for western performers (Cowboys and Cowgirls) on stage, strolling, and greeting at the gates.

Pre-purchase your tickets at participating locations for $3.00, get a coupon from local Coldstone Creamries, or at the gate bring a canned food item for Community Sharing to get $1.00 off the regular prices of $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for seniors. Kids 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
