Don’t Miss the Magic of the 28th Annual Mariposa Storytelling Festival

Transport yourself to a simpler time in Mariposa, located near Yosemite National Park in Northern California, with multiple live storytelling sessions by the finest storytellers in the nation. From National Public Radio contributors to award-winning authors, these speakers recreate the craft of famed storytellers like Mark Twain, Garrison Keillor and Will Rogers. The Mariposa County Arts Council’s 28th Mariposa Storytelling Festival, occurring from March 13-15, 2015, has two evening events, more performances throughout the day on Saturday, a special Yosemite Concert on Sunday and magical adventures for every story fan.

Producer/Director Marilyn Rudzik has invited master storytellers Beth Horner, Tim Lowry, Michael Parent, Antonio Rocha, Anne Rutherford and Sarah Saulter to Mariposa for the Festival. Listeners of all ages will discover that even in this fast world of technology and stunning visuals, the memorizing voices of storytellers still find a way to move, enchant and delight audiences with their art. On the second weekend of March, stories from a wealth of cultures, traditions and styles will once again fill the small, historic Gold Rush town of Mariposa.

Admission prices range from $4 for a single session to a two-day special package price of $64 for Mariposa Arts Council members. Seniors and students will receive 10 percent off their total order. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
