Turlock farmers' market returns May 6

Turlock farmers' market returns May 6

TURLOCK - On May 6, the Turlock Certified Farmers’ Market will return for a second season. In 2010, the Turlock Certified Farmers' Market (TCFM) Board was able to once again bring the best the Valley has to offer to the community through the new and improved market.

Working with the Turlock Downtown Property Owner’s Association and the City of Turlock, the TCFM has created a Friday Morning Marketplace that educates, informs, engages and brings together the community while supporting local farmers. The goal of the market is to be a resource for healthy choices.

The TCFM is proud to provide a family-friendly environment where parents can shop with their children. In the 2011 season, we will continue to develop partnerships with local schools, mom’s clubs and other organizations to educate our youth about what it means to be "Always Local."

The market will take place in downtown Turlock on Broadway Avenue near Main Street, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
